Being Sick

I've been sick in bed the last few days. Remember when I said my son was home for four days? Yes, well, now it's payback time.

My husband loves it when I'm sick. I think it's cause I don't flit about getting into everything. I stay still and he has run of the house.

But this I must know: Where, or where, do husbands go when you send them out for a quick errand? Why does a 5-minute trip become an hour? Why? Why????

I'm a stay-at-home home Mom with 3 (almost 4) kids. On the rare occasions I get to run an errand by myself and say, "I'll be back in 20 minutes," my husband knows better than to expect me back for at least 2 hours.

I really don't know where the time goes - it's like I enter some parallel universe. Maybe that's what happens to your husband. :)

  2. That's funny. No, I'm the complete opposite. In and out. It's only my husband who does that, and I have several friends whose husbands do the same. I thought it was a guy thing, but maybe not.

Course you have an excuse to disappear for hours by yourself.

    Hi Suzanne,
Hope you are feeling better, got a laugh about your husband disappearing act, maybe he thinks that way you'll miss him more. I always enjoy your writing and appreciate your sense of humor I hope you can use more we all have a need to lighten up even when a good part of everyday news is somber.

  5. Thank you very much for your kind comment. My cold is dragging on, but the beauty of it is that I can still write!
