Spelling Bees
I attended a schoolwide spelling bee last week. How many spelling bees have you been to? Probably not many because public schools don't do that anymore. Spelling bees are considered quite passe; better to spend the time teaching kids other things -- like diversity, faux American history, and safe sex.Meanwhile, no one can spell anymore.

Kids all use computers with for schoolwork now past , say, 4th grade. That can't spell and have terrible handwriting.
